DAY ONE: ARRIVAL IN PIEDMONT

Your journey begins with a seamless arrival into Turin or Milan, where a private chauffeur awaits to escort you south into the heart of the Langhe. As the city gives way to terraced vineyards and hilltop villages, you settle into your boutique hotel and ease into the gentle rhythm of Piedmont, with a welcome dinner at a selected local restaurant.

DAY TWO: ALBA & BARBARESCO

The day opens with a private walking tour of Alba, the elegant capital of the Langhe, its medieval towers and arcaded streets steeped in the culture of wine and white truffle. In the heart of the town you visit the historic cellars of Pio Cesare, one of Piedmont's most venerable wine houses, for a private tasting of four wines. You then continue into the hills of Barbaresco, one of the two great expressions of Nebbiolo, for a private visit and tasting at the historic estate of the Marchesi di Grésy, whose Martinenga vineyard yields four wines of rare grace and finesse.

DAY THREE: BAROLO & GRINZANE CAVOUR

Today belongs to Barolo, the king of Italian wines. Begin at the Castello di Grinzane Cavour, a UNESCO World Heritage Site rising at the heart of the appellation and home to the Regional Wine Enoteca. Continue to one of Barolo's most respected houses, Cordero di Montezemolo, for a private visit and tasting among its storied La Morra vineyards, as the afternoon unfolds at a leisurely pace amid some of Italy's finest terroir.

DAY FOUR: FLIGHT TO BORDEAUX & CITÉ DU VIN

After breakfast you transfer to the airport for your flight to Bordeaux. On arrival, a private guided walking tour introduces the city's eighteenth-century splendour, its grand quays and honey-coloured façades. The day concludes at the Cité du Vin, the striking museum devoted to the culture of wine the world over, with an audio-guided visit and a glass enjoyed from its panoramic heights.

DAY FIVE: SAINT-ÉMILION & POMEROL

Cross to the Right Bank for a guided tour of Saint-Émilion, the medieval village whose underground monuments and monolithic church lie carved into the limestone beneath your feet. A private visit and tasting at Château de Ferrand follows, before continuing to the rarefied appellation of Pomerol for a private tasting at Château Beauregard, where Merlot reaches its most seductive expression.

DAY SIX: THE MÉDOC

Journey north into the Médoc, where the great classified growths line the road to the sea. A private visit to Château Giscours, a celebrated estate of the Margaux appellation, offers an intimate encounter with the craftsmanship behind these legendary wines, closing your Bordeaux chapter in fitting style.
