Travel Guide: St. Tropez

Iconic Saint-Tropez

Designed for adults and children, the Iconic Saint-Tropez full day tour is an opportunity to experience the wonderfully varied character of this historic fishing village turned glamorous international hot spot.

Saint-Tropez might be best known as a summer playground for the rich and famous, but the famous fishing village actually offers much more than that. Its impressive fortress is a testament to its rich history, while its galleries and Annonciade Museum are magnets for art-lovers. It’s also a shopper’s paradise, whether you’re hunting for bargains in the weekly Provençal market (open on Tuesdays and Saturdays), or looking for the latest trends in designer boutiques.

When summertime traffic is heavy, avoid the crowded roads into town and drive with your guide through the beautiful Maures forest to Saint-Maxime; a short ferry boat transfer takes you across the Gulf of Saint-Tropez to the port. Spend time discovering the many facets of the charming old town, then depart for Grimaud, one of the jewels of the south, stopping along the way at a local winery for a tasting of the region’s legendary rosé.

  • Suggested Destinations: Sainte-Maxime, Saint-Tropez, Grimaud
  • Suggested Sites: Foret de Maures, Annonciade Museum, Citadel of Saint-Tropez, wineries (vary subject to availability on date of travel)

The gourmet menu is only available in the evenings. Airy, spacious dining room whose pared-down décor is ideally suited to the hotel that celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2020.
