Vomo lies in the Mamanuca group off the west coast of Viti Levu, Fiji’s main island, just 15 minutes by helicopter or 40 minutes by speedboat from the mainland. One of Fiji’s larger private islands at 255 acres, it rises from coral reefs and white-sand beaches to the forested summit of Mt Vomo, with the tiny islet of Vomo Lailai just offshore. The surrounding South Pacific waters suit snorkeling, diving, and island-hopping across the Mamanucas.
