Since its release in 2008, the Gulfstream G650 has been the peak standard in luxury business travel. It’s a level of quality which, I believe, has yet to be matched in a private jet of its class. I had the good fortune to take a flight in the ultra-luxurious Gulfstream G650 from L.A. to London recently, giving me the opportunity to experience flying privately in what is considered to be the most well-balanced business jet in terms of speed, range, and ride comfort. The Gulfstream G650 is a twin-engined business-class jet which is capable of reaching speeds of up to Mach 0.925. That's nearly the speed of sound. The sheer velocity of this powerful jet means that we will arrive in London 30 minutes earlier than if we were crossing the pond in another jet of similar size.

It’s only January of 2019 and we’ve already had what could turn out to be the biggest news of the year in U.S. real estate. Right now, it’s certainly the hot topic. Billionaire hedge fund founder, Ken Griffin, just set a new record for the most expensive home ever sold in the United States, paying a staggering $238m for a New York apartment. This luxurious ‘mansion in the sky’ is within the 220 Central Park South building in Manhattan - a contemporary skyscraper located on New York’s famous “Billionaire’s Row”. The apartment overlooks Central Park (of course) and expands over four stories encompassing an impressive 24,000 square feet of living space. The building was designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects, with construction completed at the back end of 2018.

When the opportunity came up to visit Punta Mita on Mexico’s Pacific coast, I leaped at the chance. Who wouldn’t? Mexico is a world-class vacation destination for its impressive and varied landscapes. I’ve seen secluded colonial mountain-top towns and sleepy Caribbean fishing villages but the Pacific coast had so far eluded me. Exciting.I’ve always had a lot of love for Mexico, and not just as a tourist destination. The country shines with a kind of simple friendliness which seems to be the unwritten rule of how this chaotic society functions. Sharing buena onda - good vibe - is the best way to get into the rhythm of Mexico. Once you catch the beat, you might get hooked too.

I’ve had the good fortune to get behind the wheel of some of the world’s best super cars, but there are few which left me with the long-lasting impression that I got from driving a McLaren. There’s something about those British engineers - call it attention to detail - but as a driver’s experience, it was second to none. Yes, I’d found my brand. No, I couldn’t afford it. This month, those geniuses at McLaren released the fifth car in their Long Tail series; remodeling the dynamite 600LT. I salivated like one of Pavlov’s dogs in anticipation (metaphorically). The McLaren 600LT has a well-earned reputation as one of the best performing road-legal cars in production. With the added push-button convertible drop top, these guys just made her sparkle with Monaco glamour.

Arguably one of the biggest stories of 2018 in the wonderful world of super yachts was the release of GO. Capturing the attention of boat fanatics around the globe, Turquoise Yachts delivered GO in June, unveiling their largest and most stylish vessel to date. GO is a 77-meter (252.6-ft) motor yacht which evolved from Turquoise’s 2012 award-winning “Vicky”. The well proportioned craft is designed to be graceful under any circumstances and boasts an ultra-modern style of fluid, sweeping lines which run along her entire exterior.
