Hotel das Cataratas, A Belmond Hotel, Iguassu Falls
Amidst the exuberant nature of Iguaçu National Park, the Hotel das Cataratas offers a unique experience where history, impeccable infrastructure, exclusive guest experiences, and environmental preservation converge .
The Hotel das Cataratas underwent an extensive, comprehensive renovation led by French architect Michel Jouannet, which entirely modernized the infrastructure of the 176 guest rooms and common areas. While meticulously preserving the elegant Portuguese-style façade, all internal systems—from flooring to climate control—were completely replaced. A commitment to environmental responsibility is evident in every detail: rooms feature certified solid wood furniture, remodeled bathrooms with white marble and exclusive tiles, corridors boast custom-designed carpeting, and the space is adorned with artwork by Ludmila Demonte and Romilda Patez.
Following this revitalization, the guest accommodations now provide both comfort and sophistication, featuring curtains inspired by the local flora, pillow-top mattresses, and Egyptian cotton bedding. Granado amenities, infused with authentic Brazilian essences, add a luxurious, special touch to the stay. The rooms and suites are distributed across 12 categories—from the spacious Superior Rooms up to the exclusive Cataratas Suite—to perfectly cater to every guest profile.
Beyond the luxurious accommodations, the resort offers guests and visitors truly memorable gastronomic experiences, set against the backdrop of the exuberant Iguaçu National Park. Diners can choose from two distinct restaurants and three exclusive bars, in addition to the notable Terraço Y terrace
