Life Aboard A 3 Million-Euro-A-Week Superyacht Charter

Who hasn’t dreamed of living in land-based luxury while traveling the seas and visiting the most exotic, remote locations in the world?

Owning a yacht will remain a fantasy for many, but if you charter a superyacht for a day—or a week—you can get a real taste of the high life without the hassle of ownership. As one of the newest and largest superyachts to enter the yachting scene, the Flying Fox has everything you could want (and much more) in a luxury superyacht charter.

Here we dive into exactly what places the Flying Fox in a class of its own and what life looks like when you charter a superyacht for a day.

The Endless Amenities of a 136m Superyacht Charter

At an extraordinary 136 meters in length and with a 22.5-meter beam, this island-sized vessel houses a full spa, cinema, gymnasium, 2 helipads, every type of sea toy and water sports equipment, and not to mention 55 of the most impeccably trained crew members who are ready to realize your every wish.

The accommodation on Flying Fox is made up of 10 VIP guest suites for up to 23 guests, each complete with its own private, sea view terrace. Its crowning glory is the owner’s accommodation that occupies the entire upper deck and is complete with a 100 SqMt master stateroom, vast en-suite bathroom, his and her dressing rooms, a studio, office, PA office, master salon, opulent wetbar, and a fireplace.

The interior of Flying Fox, designed by the award-winning superyacht designer Mark Berryman, is a contemporary masterpiece replete with teak, oak, and bamboo. Berryman's style draws inspiration from Japanese homes and Danish furniture to create flowing deck space and intimate gathering areas with integrated planting.

Despite her impressive size and eye-pleasing curves, the Flying Fox has a cruising speed of 17 knots and is capable of reaching 20. With a range of 6,500 nautical miles, she can easily take you and your guests to the ends of the Earth in complete comfort.

Your Morning When You Charter A Superyacht For A Day

You've found an incredible yachting route in Greece, Italy, or Croatia. You've invited your closest friends for a birthday celebration, or maybe it's a family anniversary you feel deserves that something extra. You want to enjoy every moment of this unique experience, so you wake early to soak in the panoramic views of the sunrise from the panoramic exterior salon on the roof deck.

For early morning exercise, you take advantage of the 90-meter squared gymnasium with Technogym equipment and the assistance of personal trainers who are also former Olympic athletes and commandos. After your morning workout, you take the elevator up to join the others for a breakfast made from the finest ingredients on the planet in the outdoor dining area on the aft of the bridge deck.

A superyacht charter offers access to some of the greatest scuba diving on the planet, and Flying Fox has a staff of PADI dive professionals at the ready on board. You meet your more adventure-minded friends and get kitted out in top-of-the-line equipment, including underwater cameras.

For the more adventurous, multi-day dive trips, compression pumps are at hand to refill tanks. The experienced divers in your group can also make use of a double-lock decompression chamber IHC1600mm (the best available today) and feel safe in having professional medics onboard in the yacht’s hospital.

For guests who prefer to stay above surface when they charter a superyacht for a day, Flying Fox offers a dizzying array of watersports equipment, including kiteboards, surfboards, sailing dinghies, flyboards, hoverboards, jet skis, seabobs, and a host of other water sports gear that will send your pulse racing.

An Afternoon on The Flying Fox Superyacht Charter

An adrenaline-filled morning deserves a relaxing afternoon. Lunch can be served indoors or out, and any type of cuisine you can imagine is available thanks to the cutting-edge technical kitchen equipment, including a Tandori oven, a full-sized rotisserie for a whole lamb or goat, a Churrasco, and more. Two bars stocked to the brim with your preferred spirits and wines ensure the drinks never stop flowing.

After lunch, you and your guests pay a visit to the Flying Fox’s unparalleled wellness area. With 400 SqMts spread over 2 decks, you could easily spend the entire trip basking in dry and wet massages, the hammam, the Finish sauna, the whirlpool, or the cryo sauna—a 3-minute sauna cooled down to -110°C /-166 °F with liquid nitrogen that will leave you feeling like an entirely new person.

The afternoon also offers time to relax by the 12-meter pool (salt or freshwater) and visit the captain in the spacious wheelhouse. Kids and cinema fanatics may seek refuge in the F Dolby Atmos sound cinema with a selection of thousands of movies, an extra-large widescreen, and individual D-Box seats. While gamers will be in heaven thanks to a custom-designed, high-end PC with a racing steering wheel and foot petals, and a wireless virtual reality headset.

A Perfect Evening on A Superyacht Charter

To finish the day and start the night, the crew sets up an elegant dinner on the helicopter landing pad of the sundeck. The live band sets the mood, and a professional fireworks show brings the evening to a grand finale. You follow dinner with a soak under the stars in one of the 2 deckside jacuzzi tubs and drinks by the outdoor fire ring.

When you charter a superyacht for a day, it isn’t just about time on board. Thanks to the Flying Fox’s custom-made 10.5-meter landing boat, shade tents, and barbecues, you decide to extend the party onto a nearby beautiful remote beach or island. Or maybe you head to the nearest dock in the 11.5-meter limousine tender and spend a night on the town.

Whether you rent a superyacht for a day to celebrate a special occasion, treat your board members, or host an elite party, there is no greater way to impress your guests than to bring them aboard The Flying Fox.

As a specialist yacht broker, we can help you with everything from pre-trip itineraries and APA to choosing the right superyacht charter, so you can make the most out of every moment of your trip.
